Content Knowledge and Pedagogy
Knowledge is the strongest weapon a student can use to fight the battles of everyday struggle.
Once educated, the discovery of things that they can use to their advantage is convenient. Teacher likewise plays a significant role in imparting knowledge to students who are yet to face the madness and complexity of the world. The presence of individuals like myself is a must for quality learning and the betterment of the welfare of the students.

As a science student-teacher, I always dissect my topics and apply them in a real-life situations. I use local and everyday materials to explain science concepts and ask questions for my students to develop critical thinking. I always try to conceptualize complex topics because what will be the purpose of my job if I won’t able to succor and ensure the learnings of my students? I also use PowerPoint presentations and printed materials when delivering the lesson.
I am teaching physical science to Grade 11 students. I am handling 3 sections under ABM, GAS, and TVL strands. During classroom instructions, I always notice that switching language codes, from English to Filipino to the mother tongue which is Bikol is beneficial for students’ understanding. But when it comes to recitation, I always challenge them to speak in English because it will be advantageous for them as they go to college.

Use of ICT
During classroom instruction, I used television for the PowerPoint presentation and printed materials for the activity as my instructional materials.
Through the use of these, the students were exposed to technology that is important for 21st-century learners to develop.
Promotion of literacy
During discussion, I encourage students to participate and articulate their thoughts. In this picture, my student is balancing the chemical equation. This activity helped them improve their literacy and numeracy skills.
